Service Overview

The engine of InSiteful Imagery® is powerful Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology provided by the world's leader, ESRI.

At the heart of the InSiteful Imagery® applications, BOYLE has developed a proprietary aerial photograph geo-rectification procedure to properly display small-format vertical (map-like) digital images in a Geographic Information System (GIS) environment at a resolution up to five times better than what is typically commercially available. Oblique, (at-an-angle) aerials are also collected for additional visualization of current conditions.

Time-sequenced vertical photographs are combined with other geospatial benchmark data of interest and made available to authorized project members on-line. The fuel of the service is the professional aerial photographer who has mastered the art of efficiently obtaining digital vertical photographs of moderately sized project sites at specified resolution/s.

On-Line Application
The InSiteful Imagery® website is used to store and publish geo-registered vertical photographs with benchmark planimetric overlays (topographic contours, soil surveys, hydrologic data, utility plans, engineering plans, etc.) that can be selectively viewed. On-line analytic functionality for the end user includes pan, zoom, measure distances, measure areas, and change detection toolsets, as well as draw and text tools to create photomaps.

BOYLE utilizes a third-party, professionally-managed, internet hosting provider to support the service with 24/7/365, in a secure, scalable, high reliability facility operated by information technology engineers specializing in critical corporate data services.

Desktop Application
For those users who want to manage their own content and/ or do not need wide distribution of information, InSiteful Imagery® desktop is available as a free download from our website. This application is ideal for individual project managers and smaller groups needing a personalized visualization desktop tool. The desktop version also allows for 1) individual content management (including toolset customization), 2) the creation of custom map files, 3) use of a searchable geographic database, 3) routing information, 4) 3D Visualization, and 5) creation of dynamic geographic presentations ("flying tours").
